The Cochrane Curling Club is proud to Host 5 Major Club events each year along with other outside events including the Cochrane Oilmens. JUNIOR BONSPIEL - DECEMBER 5TH & 6TH 2009 Our Junior Bonspiel was a huge success with 16 very competitive teams from all over southern Alberta. Next years spiel is being held December 5th & 6th. Thanks again to Mabbott & Company for being our sponser again this year. SENIOR OPEN - MARCH 20 - 21ST, 2010 MOVED BECAUSE OF CONFLICTS.- March 20 & 21 st. will now be an Open event with the only rule is that their must be atleast 1 member of the oposite gender on every team and the minimun age is 50. An entry fee of $180 per team includes 4 games guaranteed along with Dinner Saturday evening, There will also be Cash prizes in this Pay per win format, Door Prizes and surprizes. First 16 teams are in.
MENS BONSPIEL - JANUARY 22ND - 24TH 2010 This is a premier event on all curling calendars including the SACA events list as we sell out every year with most of the best men curlers in Southern Alberta competing for cash and the COCHRANE DODGE TROPHY. With an entry fee of $200. and a guarantee of 3 games against some of the best along with a great dinner on Saturday, Wagering and Flames & Hitmen Hockey Tickets popping up this is the event you want into. Whether its Gowsell, Dembo, Scabar, Bakker, or the local favorite from the super league Zubot the curling is always exciting. MIXED BONSPIEL - FEBRUARY 12TH - 14TH 2010 Always a couple pleaser whether you play with your partner or someone else’s with prizes, draws and a dinner that’s worth the price of admission alone and the coveted ROTHENBERG CAPITAL MANAGEMENT TROPHY going to the winner. Entry fees of only $200. per team along with some great wine specials at the bar makes this another great trip to Cochrane. STICK BONSPIEL - FEBRUARY 20TH, 2010 This is our second annual stick Bonspiel running one day with a great lunch and a lot of fun. This is open to 2 person teams following the standard stick rules. This is a day time spiel at $50. entry and guaranteed 3 games. LADIES BONSPIEL - FEBRUARY 26TH - 28TH 2010 Last but not least this our last club event before playoffs features more prizes than you can imagine with the host committee rounding up awesome gifts to go along with great cash prizes and of course the COCHRANE FORD CUP. Another great event for a $200. team fee and again the ladies get a sweet deal with dinner and treats throughout the weekend.
